why has the Korean War often been called the Forgotten War Does it deserve to be remembered - Personal Statement drillAnother valid reason that made experts regard the war as forgotten was the non-inclusion of Korea in the American Foreign Policy during the Cold War.One of the obvious reasons was that most of the Americans had very little knowledge near this war, even though many of them were adults during the war years. Another reason is that the Korean War was barely a part of the history subject in most of the elementary and high schools and also in colleges. In case they are mentioned it in the educational texts, the entire conflict was not covered, instead a truncated mention about the conflict, which often described it as the successful containment of communism by the united Nations and United States that resulted in freedom for South Koreans. These brief mentions removed a great deal about the awe-inspiring episode that piloted the Cold War era and the enormous significan ce it has had, and still has, for Koreans, Americans and world
